Nottingham has a long tradition of ice skating, from skating on the frozen River Trent at the turn of the 20th century to the 1980’s when Torvill and Dean trained at the original rink.
Elite skaters and the UK team train at the twin Olympic rinks of the new National Ice Centre and it is also home to the Great Britain Short Track Speed Skating squad and the Nottingham Panthers ice hockey club.
The National Ice Centre is adjacent to the Premier Apartments building – you can’t get a better placed hotel than us!
If you’ve never tried before, skating is invigorating and excellent fun. There are a range of ice skating sessions on offer to suit all abilities and ages from starter sessions to disco!
The National Ice Centre doubles as the Capital FM Nottingham Arena (formerly Trent FM Arena) for the biggest concerts and conferences in the East Midlands
